🏁 Wreckfest 2 – Release Info, Features & PC System Requirements

📅 Release & Early Access Launch

Wreckfest 2 officially entered Steam Early Access on March 20, 2025, as announced by Bugbear Entertainment and THQ Nordic during a public reveal in February 2025.
The title is expected to remain in Early Access for about 12 months, with a full release across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S projected before March 31, 2026.

🚗 Development & Game Features

Developed by Bugbear Entertainment, the sequel pushes realistic vehicular destruction using the updated ROMU engine, which simulates soft-body damage and detailed suspension physics across components.
Wreckfest 2 brings key enhancements:

  • Deeper car damage modeling, including armor penetration and component breakage.

  • Customizable cars and paint systems, with plans for Steam Workshop and shared designs.

  • Revamped career mode, matchmaking, split-screen multiplayer, and server queue support.

  • In Early Access, content is limited to four cars, five tracks, and one sandbox environment; future updates will expand speed and features dramatically.
